Last Wednesday, on May 1st, 2024, our sponsored football team, West Leake FC, made history by clinching their first trophy at the Leicestershire Sunday Cup Final held at Holmes Park. We are thrilled to announce their resounding victory against The Oadby Owls with an impressive 6-1 score!
The atmosphere was electric as the West Leake FC players demonstrated their skill, determination, and teamwork on the pitch. It was a joyous occasion for the team, the fans, and all of us here at THE STAR. Hosting their celebration evening on Thursday, May 2nd, was a privilege. Seeing the players and supporters come together to revel in this milestone filled our hearts with immense pride.
